Have you ever been curious and opened your mobile radio and saw something in bubble wrap with electrical tape? It's most likely to be your echo board. A lot of (what I call hack shops) will do this to save time on the install, This may perform ok for a while but sooner or later it is going to get rattled to death. Then its back to the shop. The picture on the left illustrates what an echo board install should look like. This happens to be a Cobra 29 LTD NW/WX. In-case you are wandering the echo board is on the right side and you can see that it is mounted down to the chassis.
